Dahlonega’s area hiking trails are numerous, including the Appalachian Trail, which begins at Springer Mountain, just north of Amicalola Falls State Park. From here, you can hike all the ways to Maine, or take the 14 mile round trip hike from Amicalola Falls to the top of Springer Mountain and back again. Dahlonega truly is a hikers paradise!

Enjoy fishing, tubing and canoing on one of Dahlonega’s many lakes, rivers and streams, including Lake Lanier which is only a short drive from the city of Dahlonega.
